Zoom integration for Glass
Connect Zoom to Glass, use read-only meeting tools, troubleshoot access, and remove the integration.
The Zoom integration lets Glass read the connected Zoom user's profile and meetings. It is read-only: Glass cannot schedule, edit, or delete Zoom meetings, and it does not request access to recordings or transcripts.
Before you add the app
You need:
- Access to Glass through your Ramp account.
- A Zoom account whose meetings you want to use in Glass.
- Permission to add Marketplace apps to that Zoom account. If your Zoom administrator requires pre-approval, ask them to approve Glass first.
- Access to your organization's Zoom sign-in method, including SSO or two-factor authentication when required.
Each person connects their own Zoom account. The integration returns that person's profile and meetings they host. Meetings where the connected user is only an invitee, and instant meetings, are not returned by the current meeting list action.
Add and authorize the app
From the Zoom App Marketplace
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
- Open the Glass listing and select Add or Visit Site to Add.
- Sign in to Glass if prompted.
- In Settings → Connectors, select Zoom, then select Connect.
- Sign in to the Zoom account you want Glass to use.
- Review the requested read-only permissions and select Allow.
- Return to Glass and confirm that Zoom shows as connected.
- In Glass, ask “Show my upcoming Zoom meetings” to verify the connection.
You can also start directly in Glass by opening Settings → Connectors → Zoom and selecting Connect.
If authorization does not complete, see Troubleshooting.
Permissions and supported uses
Glass requests three Zoom granular scopes. There are no optional Zoom scopes in the current integration.
| Zoom scope | What Glass uses it for | Example use | Prerequisites |
|---|---|---|---|
user:read:user | Read the connected user's Zoom profile so Glass can identify the account behind the connection. | “Which Zoom account is connected?” | A completed Zoom authorization for the current Glass user. |
meeting:read:list_meetings | List meetings hosted by the connected user, including upcoming and previous meetings. | “Show my upcoming Zoom meetings.” | The connected user must host the meeting. Meetings where the user is only an invitee, and instant meetings, are not listed. Add a time range or meeting state if the result is too broad. |
meeting:read:meeting | Retrieve the details of a meeting selected by the user. | “Get the details for my project kickoff meeting.” | The connected user must be allowed to read the meeting, and Glass must be able to identify it from the conversation or list results. |
Glass sends a request to Zoom only when a user asks it to use the Zoom integration. The results can be used in a Glass conversation to answer questions about the user's meetings. Glass does not use these scopes to modify Zoom data.
Troubleshooting
The Add or Connect action is unavailable
- Confirm that you are signed in to both Glass and the intended Zoom account.
- Ask your Zoom administrator whether Marketplace apps require pre-approval.
- If your organization limits Glass access, ask your Ramp administrator to confirm that you can use Glass and its connectors.
Authorization fails or returns to Glass without connecting
- Complete any Zoom SSO or two-factor authentication prompt.
- Make sure the consent screen is for the intended Zoom account.
- In Glass → Settings → Connectors, disconnect Zoom if it appears there, then connect it again and approve all requested read-only scopes.
- Allow pop-ups and redirects for Glass and Zoom during authorization.
A meeting is missing
- Confirm that the correct Zoom account is connected.
- Confirm that the connected user hosts the meeting. Meetings where the user is only an invitee, and instant meetings, do not appear in the current meeting list.
- Ask Glass for a specific time range and meeting state, such as upcoming or previous meetings.
- Disconnect and reconnect Zoom to refresh the authorization.
Glass says Zoom needs to be connected again
The authorization may have expired or been revoked. Open Settings → Connectors → Zoom, select Connect, and complete Zoom authorization again.
If the problem continues, contact Ramp Support.
Remove the app
Complete both the Zoom Marketplace removal and the Glass disconnection so Zoom and Glass no longer have an active connection.
Remove Glass from Zoom
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
- In the upper-right corner, select Manage.
- In the left navigation, select Added Apps.
- Find and select Glass.
- Select Remove.
- Optionally choose a removal reason, then select Remove again to confirm.
Disconnect Zoom from Glass
- Sign in to Glass.
- Open Settings → Connectors.
- Select Zoom, then select Disconnect.
- Confirm that Zoom no longer shows as connected.
After disconnection, Glass can no longer make new Zoom profile or meeting requests for that user. Reconnecting requires a new Zoom authorization.
Deauthorization and data handling
- Disconnecting Zoom in Glass marks the stored connector credential as revoked and prevents it from being used for new requests.
- Removing the app does not delete or change the user's Zoom account, meetings, recordings, or other source data in Zoom.
- Ramp stores the Zoom OAuth credentials needed to operate the connection and protects stored credentials at rest. After disconnection, revoked credential, security, and audit records may be retained under Ramp's standard retention practices and applicable legal obligations, but the credential is not available for new connector requests.
- Zoom profile or meeting information that was already returned in a Glass conversation is not automatically removed when the connector is disconnected. Remove the affected conversation in Glass if it is no longer needed.
- To request deletion of personal data, visit Ramp's privacy request portal or email [email protected]. Requests are handled under Ramp's retention requirements and applicable law.
For more information, see Ramp's Privacy Policy and Platform Agreement.
