ChatGPT

Add Ramp to ChatGPT through the Ramp app or a Developer Mode MCP connector.

ChatGPT can connect to Ramp through the Ramp app or, for eligible accounts using Developer Mode, a custom remote MCP connector. Both paths use Ramp OAuth and a public HTTPS MCP endpoint.

Enable the Ramp app

  1. Open the Ramp app for ChatGPT.
  2. Follow the prompts to add the app and authorize Ramp.

Add a Developer Mode connector

In ChatGPT Developer Mode, create a connector with the Ramp MCP endpoint:

ChatGPT's MCP client supports remote HTTP/SSE-style transports with OAuth. The server must be reachable over HTTPS.

Use demo data

The one-click link connects to production. For sample data, add Ramp as a custom connector instead:

Settings -> Connectors -> Add connector, using the demo URL https://demo-mcp.ramp.com/mcp.

Try it

Ask ChatGPT to use Ramp explicitly:

Use Ramp to summarize my last 30 days of software spend.

Reconnect

If tools go stale or auth drops, disconnect and reconnect the Ramp app in Settings -> Apps or reconnect the custom connector in Settings -> Connectors.
